On January 29th, 2025 we welcomed Guest Speakers Daniel Breton, President of Electric Mobility Canada, and Patrick Nadeau, a Hyundai customer and passionate EV traveler to speak about their knowledge and insights on the future of electric driving, sustainability, and what Hyundai is doing to lead the way in EV innovation. In two sessions they went over the background on EVs, from how they work to the environmental benefits they offer and also helped debunk common misconceptions like range anxiety, charging concerns, and the cost of ownership.
For each of these frequently cited misconceptions, Mr. Breton offered clear and well-supported explanations, backed by data, showing that much of the information circulating about electric vehicles is simply incorrect.
The presentation then shifted from theory to real-world experience with Mr. Patrick Nadeau, who shared his incredible journey from Québec to Mexico in his Hyundai IONIQ 5. As co-owner of a virtual reality company, Mr. Nadeau used his trip to stop at several U.S. national parks to create new VR content, before meeting his wife and three children in Puerto Vallarta. After his talk, attendees had the chance to try on virtual reality headsets and explore the stunning locations Mr. Nadeau visited during his 15,000-kilometer journey in his 2022 IONIQ 5 Preferred Long Range.
During the presentation, guests were encouraged to ask questions, fostering an open dialogue rather than a one-sided presentation. Lots of fun engagement was had with our informative groups. Food was provided, and attendees had the chance to view Hyundai's latest electric vehicles up close — and even take them for a test drive around the dealership.
